Adult R2D2 Fingerless Gloves

This pattern was adapted from THIS pattern to make my adult size R2D2 Fingerless Gloves.

Crochet R2D2 Fingerless Gloves

What you’ll need:

       * Size H hook

       * I love this yarn in grey, blue, red, and black

       * Crochet needle for sewing in ends

      

Gauge: with H hook, 6dc and 4 rows= 2”x 2”

Abbreviations:

       *ch- chain

       *BB- back bump

       *sc- single crochet

       *slst- slip stitch

       *hdc- double crochet

      *MC- magic circle

Adult R2D2 Fingerless Gloves

With Grey yarn and an H hook

LEFT GLOVE

Round 1: Ch 11, sc in BB of 2^nd ch from hook and each stitch across

Round 2-22: Ch1, sc in BL across. Tie off and sew the cuff together.

Switch to Blue Yarn

Round 1: reattach yarn, sc in next 25 stitches around, slst to join (25)

Switch to Grey Yarn

Round 2: reattach yarn, 2hdc in first stitch, hdc in each stitch around, slst to join (26)

Round 3: ch1, 2hdc in same stitch, hdc in next 2 stitches, 2hdc in next stitch, hdc in next 2 stitches, 2hdc in next stitch, hdc in remaining stitches around, slst to join (29)

Round 4: Grey: Ch1, hdc in same stitch, hdc in next stitch, Blue: hdc in next 3 stitches, Grey: hdc in next 2 stitches, Blue: hdc in next 3 stitches, continue around ending with hdc in Blue for last 3 stitches. Tie off and change colors. (30) (Your last stitch will be in the same stitch as your first stitch, so you’ll be adding another stitch to the round)

Switch to Grey Yarn

Round 5-8: Ch1, hdc in same stitch and each stitch around. (30)

Round 9: ch1, hdc in same stitch, hdc in next 9 stitches, skip 7 stitches, hdc in remaining stitches, slst to join. (23)   

Round 10: Ch1, hdc in each stitch around, slst to join (23)

Round 11: Ch1, hdc in same stitch, hdc in next stitch, Blue: hdc in next 3 stitches, Grey: hdc in next 2 stitches, Blue: hdc in next 3 stitches, Grey: hdc in next 2 stitches, Blue: hdc in next 2 stitches, Grey: hdc in next 2 stitches, Blue: hdc in next 3 stitches, Grey: hdc in next 2 stitches, Blue: hdc in next 3 stitches, slst to join. Tie off and change colors. (24) (Your last stitch will be in the same stitch as your first stitch, so you’ll be adding another stitch to the round)

Switch to Grey Yarn

Round 12-13: Ch1, hdc in each stitch around, slst to join (24)

Switch to Blue Yarn

Round 14: Ch1, sc in each stitch around, slst to join. Tie off and weave in ends (24)

With Grey yarn and an H hook

RIGHT GLOVE

Round 1: Ch 11, sc in BB of 2^nd ch from hook and each stitch across

Round 2-22: Ch1, sc in BL across. Tie off and sew the cuff together.

Switch to Blue Yarn

Round 1: reattach yarn, sc in next 25 stitches around, slst to join (25)

Switch to Greay Yarn

Round 2: reattach yarn, ch1, hdc in same stitch, hdc in next 22 stitches, 2hdc, hdc in last stitch, slst to join (26)

Round 3: ch1, hdc in same stitch, hdc in next 12 stitches

2hdc in next stitch, hdc in next 2 stitches, 2hdc in next stitch, hdc in next 2 stitches, 2hdc in next stitch, hdc in remaining stitches, slst to join (29)

Round 4: Grey: Ch1, hdc in same stitch, hdc in next stitch, Blue: hdc in next 3 stitches, Grey: hdc in next 2 stitches, Blue: hdc in next 3 stitches, continue around ending with hdc in Blue for last 3 stitches. Tie off and change colors. (30) (Your last stitch will be in the same stitch as your first stitch, so you’ll be adding another stitch to the round)

Switch to Grey Yarn

Round 5-8: Ch1, hdc in same stitch and each stitch around. (30)

Round 9: ch1, hdc in same stitch, hdc in next 18 stitches, skip 7 stitches, hdc in remaining 4 stitches, slst to join. (23)  

Round 10: Ch1, hdc in each stitch around, slst to join (23)

Round 11: Ch1, hdc in same stitch, hdc in next stitch, Blue: hdc in next 3 stitches, Grey: hdc in next 2 stitches, Blue: hdc in next 3 stitches, Grey: hdc in next 2 stitches, Blue: hdc in next 3 stitches, Grey: hdc in next 2 stitches,

Blue: hdc in next 3 stitches, Grey: hdc in next 2 stitches,

Blue: hdc in next 2 stitches, slst to join. Tie off and change colors. (24) (Your last stitch will be in the same stitch as your first stitch, so you’ll be adding another stitch to the round)

Switch to Grey Yarn

Round 12-13: Ch1, hdc in each stitch around, slst to join (24)

Switch to Blue Yarn

Round 14: Ch1, sc in each stitch around, slst to join. Tie off and weave in ends (24) 

Blue Square (make 2)

With an H hook and Blue yarn

Row 1: Ch7, sc in BB of 2^nd ch from hook and each stitch across

Row 2-6: Ch1 and turn, sc in each stitch across. Tie off and sew on to gloves.

Black Circle (make 2)

With an H hook and Black yarn

Round 1: MC, ch1, place 10sc in the MC, tie off and sew on to blue square.

Red Circle (make 2)

With an H hook and Red yarn

Round 1: MC, ch1, place 6sc in the MC, tie off and sew on to gloves.
