What you’ll need:
*Size H hook
*I Love This Yarn in Purple (Amethyst) and Dark Green (Forest Green)
*Crochet needle for sewing in ends
*Scissors
Gauge: 8dc and 3 rows= 2”x 2”
Abbreviations:
*ch- chain
*BB- back bump
*slst- slip stitch
*dc- double crochet

Rose- With Purple and an H hook
Round 1: Ch22, place 6dc in the BB of the 3rd chain from hook, ch2 and slst in the same stitch, continue to crochet in the BB of each chain, slst in next BB, *(ch2, 4dc, ch2, slst) in next BB, slst in next BB, (ch2, 5dc, ch2, slst) in next BB, slst in next BB. Repeat from * across. Tie off and leave a long tail for sewing.
At this point your piece should look like a tangled mess. (See Pic) To form the rose, untangle your row so you can find your first stitch. Start at that end, wrap it around itself like a rose sewing it in place as you go. Sew rose on to stem.
Stem- With Dark Green and an H hook
Row 1: Ch19, sc in the BB of the 2nd ch from hook and the BB of next 9 chains. Ch4, sc in the BB of 2nd ch from hook and next 2 ch, slst in next BB on your starting ch. Sc in remaining BB chains across. Tie off and weave in ends. Sew flower on to stem.
