Minnie Mouse Hat
What you’ll need:
* I love this yarn in Black, Pink, and White
* Size H (5.5mm) hook
* I love this yarn in Black, Pink, and White
* Tapestry needle for sewing in ends
Gauge: with H hook, 9dc and 4 rows= 2.5”x 2.5”

Note: I’ve omitted the chains at the begging of the rounds to get rid of the seam. I’ve added the chainless starting double crochet instead. The CSDC of each round will act like your chain and will be hidden in your work and not crocheted into. Make sure you place your last dc in the same stitch you placed your CSDC, and slst to the 1st dc to join. You’ll be skipping over the CSDC when you slst to join. (See pics below)

Braids (newborn-6mo)
Cut 8 pieces of White, 8 pieces of Pink, and 6 pieces of Black about 2ft in length. Divide the pieces out into two sections, fold one section over and attach to Ear Flap. Braid and tie a knot at the bottom. Repeat for other side.

Round 1: MC, ch1 and place 12sc in the MC, slst to join. (12)
Round 2: CSDC, dc in same stitch, 2dc in each stitch around ending with a dc in the same stitch as your CSDC. Slst to the first dc to join. (24)
Round 3: CSDC, dc in same stitch, (*2dc, dc in next stitch) repeat * around ending with a dc in the same stitch as you did your CSDC. Slst to first dc to join. (36)

*With wrong sides facing each other, sew 2 of your ears together. Repeat for other ears. Attach ears to either side of hat according to pics.
Buttons (make 4)- With White and an H hook
Round 1: MC, ch1 and place 12 dc in the MC. Slst to join. (12) Tie off and leave a tail for sewing.
Bow- With Pink, White, and an H hook
Starting with Pink
Row 1: Ch15, sc in BB of 2nd ch from hook and each ch across.
Row 2-11: Ch1 and turn, sc across.
Row 12: Ch1 and sc around the outside of your rectangle placing 2sc in each corner. Tie off and leave a long tail.
Row 2-11: Ch1 and turn, sc across.
Row 12: Ch1 and sc around the outside of your rectangle placing 2sc in each corner. Tie off and leave a long tail.
*Weave your tail back to the center of your rectangle. Pull the center of your rectangle together and wrap your yarn around several times to cinch it into a bow.
*With a little bit of white, make a triple knot and sew it on to bow for the polka dots. Repeat for other dots.
