Fairy MOD

I had so much fun testing this fairy by Manic Yarn for Issue #15 of In the Round Amigurumi & Craft Magazine! After testing, I decided to add a few of my own touches like her skirt, boots, hair and flowers! Hope you enjoy!     

What you’ll need:

*Nixie Baby Faerie Pattern by Manic Yarn 

*Size E hook

*I Love this Cotton in Ivory, Blue, Purple, Yellow, Pink, and a little Red for the smile

*Tapestry needle for sewing in ends

*Scissors

*Stitch Marker

*Stuffing

*10 mm Safety Eyes

Abbreviations: (for my mods)

*ch- chain

*slst- slip stitch

*sc- single crochet

*scdec- single crochet decrease

*MC- magic circle

*hdc- half double crochet

*dc- double crochet

Skirt: In Blue and an E hook
Round 1: ch1, sc just under bottom ruffle row. Slst to join.
Round 2: ch1, (*2dc, dc) repeat from * around. Slst to join.
Round 3: ch1, (*2dc, dc next 2 stitches) repeat from * around. Slst to join.
Round 4-5: ch1, dc around. Slst to join.
Round 6: ch1, (*3dc, slst next stitch) repeat from * around. Slst to join. Tie off and weave in ends.

Boots: in Pink and an E hook
Round 1: MC, ch1 and place 6sc in MC, slst to join. (6)
Round 2: 2sc around (12)
Round 3: (*2sc, sc) repeat from * around. (18)
Round 4: sc around (18)
Round 5: (*scdec, sc) repeat from * around. (12)
Round 6-10: sc around. (12) Tie off and leave a tail for sewing.

Wig: With Purple and an E hook
Round 1: MC, ch1 and place 10hdc in the MC. Slst to join. (10)
Round 2: ch1, 2hdc around. Slst to join. (20)
Round 3: ch1, (*2hdc, hdc) repeat from * around. Slst to join. (30)
Round 4: ch1, (*2hdc, hdc next 2) repeat from * around. Slst to join. (40)
Round 5-7: ch1, hdc in each stitch around. Slst to join. (40) Tie off and leave a tail for sewing. Since the front left to make the part. 

Bun: With purple and an E hook
Round 1: MC, ch1 and place 6sc in MC, slat to join. (6)
Round 2: 2sc around (12)
Round 3: (*2sc, sc) repeat from * around. (18)
Round 4: (*2sc, sc next 2 stitches) repeat from * around. (24)
Round 5-6: sc around. (24)
Round 7: (*scdec, sc next 2 stitches) repeat from * around. (18)
Round 8: (*scdec, sc) repeat from * around. (12) Stuff bun.
Round 9: scdec around. (6) Tie off and leave a tail for sewing. Sew on to top right of head.

Flowers: Make 1 of each in Blue, Pink, Yellow, and an E hook
Round 1: MC, place all of the stitches in the MC. (*ch4, 2hdc, ch4, slst) repeat from * 4 times. Tie off and leave a tail for sewing.
