Free Crochet Baby Goblin Pattern

I made this little guy as a special surprise for our oldest, and decided to share the pattern! He is made in one piece with the arms, collar, and ears easily sewn on at the end. Hope you enjoy!

                                                                           Approx. 7” 
What you’ll need: 
*Size E hook 
*I Love This Cotton in Sage, Antique Cream, and Ivory
*Stuffing
*9mm safety eyes
*Tapestry needle for sewing and weaving in ends
*stitch marker
*Scissors

Gauge: With an E hook 9sc and 8 rows= 2”x 2”

Abbreviations:
*ch- chain
*slst- slip stitch
*FL- front loop
*BL- back loop
*sc- single crochet
*scdec- single crochet decrease
*hdc- half double crochet
*MC- magic circle

Legs (make 2)- With Sage
Round 1: MC, ch1 and place 6sc in the MC. Slst to join. (6) Now working in continuous rounds.
Round 2: 2sc around. (12)
Round 3: (*2sc, sc in next stitch) around. (18)
Round 4-10: sc around (18) Tie off and leave a long tail for sewing up crotch later. (First leg only) Stuff Leg
*Repeat Rounds 1-10 for second leg but do not tie off.
Continue on to Round 11 from the second leg.
Round 11: Place your stitch marker here. With starting loop still on your hook, ch1, sc in each of the 18 stitches on your first leg (you should be at the stitch where you tied off), ch1, sc in the 18 stitches back on your second leg. (you should be back at your stitch marker) (36sc and 2chains)
Round 12: sc around including your chains. (38) Sew up the crotch and continue stuffing as you go.
Round 13: sc around. (38)
Round 14: (*scdec, sc next 4 stitches) around ending with a scdec. (31)
Round 15: sc around. (31)
Round 16: sc in first 4 stitches, (*scdec, sc next 3 stitches) repeat from * around ending with a scdec. (25)
Round 17: sc around. (25)
Round 18: (*scdec, sc next 2 stitches) around ending with 3 sc. (19)
Round 19: sc around. (19)
Round 20: scdec, sc in remaining stitches. (18)
Round 21: sc around. (18) Tie off and weave in ends.

Coat- With Antique Cream
Hold doll upside down and attach Antique Cream to the FL of Round 21.
Round 1: ch1, sc around. Slst to join. (18)
Round 2: ch1, (2sc, sc) around. Slst to join. (27)
Round 3: ch1, sc around. Slst to join. (27)
Round 4: ch1, (2sc, sc x 2) around. Slst to join. (36)
Round 5-14: ch1, hdc around. Slst to join. (36) Tie off and weave in ends.

Head- With Sage
Attach Sage to the BL of Round 21.
Round 22: (*2sc, sc) around. (27)
Round 23: (*2sc, sc next 2 stitches) around. (36)
Round 24: sc around. (36)
Round 25: (*2sc, sc next 3 stitches) around. (45)
Round 26-33: sc around. (45)
Round 34: (*scdec, sc next 3 stitches) around. (36)
*Add safety eyes between rounds 28 & 29, about 6 stitches apart. Add nose between rounds 26 & 27.
Stuff Head firmly
Round 35: (*scdec, sc next 2 stitches) around ending with a sc. (27)
Round 36: (*scdec, sc) around ending with a sc. (18)
Round 37: scdec around. (9)
Round 38: scdec around ending with a sc. (5) Tie off and weave in ends.

Arms (make 2) With Sage
Round 1: MC, ch1 and place 5 sc in the MC, slst to join. (5) Now working in continuous rounds.
Round 2: 2sc around. (10)
Round 3-4: sc around. (10) Stuff hands and arms as you go.
Round 5: (*scdec, sc next 3 stitches) around. (8)
Round 6-11: sc around. (8) Tie off and weave in ends.

Arm Sleeve- With Antique Cream and Ivory
Starting with Antique Cream
Hold arm upside down, leave a long tail for sewing arm shut, and attach Antique Cream to Round 11.
Round 1: sc around. (8)
Round 2: (2sc, sc) around. (12)
Round 3-10: sc around. (12)
Round 11: (2sc, sc x 2) around. (16) Tie off and weave in ends.
Cuff- Switch to Ivory
Round 12-14: Hold arm right side up and sc around. (16) Flip cuff up, finish stuffing, sew top closed, and sew on to Round 20.

Coat Collar- With Ivory
Row 1: ch 31, sc across. (30)
Row 2-5: sc across. (30) Tie off and leave a tail for sewing. Wrap around neck, over shoulders, and cross at the front. Sew in to place.

Ears- With Sage
Round 1: MC, ch1 and place 4sc in the MC. (4)
Round 2: sc around. (4)
Round 3: (2sc, sc) x 2. (6)
Round 4: (2sc, sc x 2) x 2. (8)
Round 5: (2sc, sc x 3) x 2. (10)
Round 6: (2sc, sc x 4) x 2. (12)
Round 7: (2sc, sc x 5) x 2. (14)
Round 8-11: sc around. (14) Tie off and leave a tail for sewing. Fold the bottom over and sew shut. Sew on to either side of head.
