Olyvia loves Bluey, so it was no surprise when she picked Bluey over several options for Halloween. 😄 I loved designing this hat, and it's actually the first puppy hat I've made! I'm so pleased with how it turned out, and I hope you enjoy the pattern. 😍

Bluey Hat
Materials Needed:
*I Love This Yarn in, Light Blue, Navy, Yellow, White, and Black
*Size H hook (5.0mm)
*Tapestry needle for sewing in ends
*Scissors
*Stitch Marker
Gauge: With an H hook 9sc and 4 rows= 2.2”

Toddler Hat- With Navy, Light Blue, and an H hook
Starting with Navy
Round 1: MC, ch1 and place 10sc in the MC. Slst. (10)
Round 2: ch1, 2dc around. Slst. (20)
Round 3: ch1, (2dc, dc) around. Slst. (30)
Round 4: ch1, (2dc, dc x 2) around. Slst. (40)
Round 5: ch1, (2dc, dc x 3) around. Slst. (50)
Round 6: ch1, (2dc, dc x 4) around. Slst. (60)
Round 7-10: ch1, dc x 60. (60)
Switch to Light Blue
Round 11-15: ch1, dc x 60. (60)
Middle Face Piece- With Light Blue and an H hook
Row 1: ch 13 and turn, sc x 12. (12)
Row 2-9: ch1 and turn, sc x 12. (12)
Row 10: ch1 and turn, scdec, sc x 8, scdec. (10)
Row 11: ch1 and turn, sc x 10. (10)
Row 12: ch1 and turn, scdec, sc x 6, scdec. (8)
Row 13: ch1 and turn, sc x 8. (8)
Row 14-19: ch1 and turn, sc x 8. (8) Tie off and leave a tail. Sew to the bottom of Row 11 of hat.
Inner Ears- With Yellow and an H hook
Row 1: ch7 and turn, sc x 6. (6)
Row 2-4: ch1 and turn, sc x 6. (6)
Row 5: ch1 and turn, scdec, sc x 2, scdec. (4)
Row 6: ch1 and turn, sc x 4. (4)
Row 7: ch1 and turn, scdec x 2 (2)
Row 8: ch1 and turn, scdec. (1) Slst. Tie off.
Outer Ears- With Navy and an H hook
Row 1: ch7 and turn, sc in BB of each stitch across. (6)
Row 2-4: ch1 and turn, sc across. (6)
Row 5: ch1 and turn, scdec, sc next 2 stitches, scdec. (4)
Row 6: ch1 and turn, sc across. (4)
Row 7: ch1 and turn, scdec, scdec. (2)
Row 8: ch1 and turn, scdec. (1) Place your yellow piece on top of your navy, and crochet through both pieces with the navy. Continue to sc down left side of ear, across the bottom, and up right side placing 2sc in each corner. Slst. Tie off and sew to top of hat.
Outer Eyes (make 2)- With White and an H hook
Round 1: ch1 and place 6sc in the MC. (6)
Round 2: 2sc around. (12)
Round 3: (2sc, sc) around. (18)
Round 4: (2sc, sc x 2) around. (24)
Round 5: sc x 8, 2sc x 4, sc x 8, 2sc x 4. Slst. (32) Tie off. Sew over light blue Face Piece.
Pupils (make 2)- With Black and an H hook
Round 1: ch1 and place (2hdc, sc x 3) x 2 in the MC. Tie off. Sew to Eye. (10)
Eyebrows (make 2)- With Light Blue and an H hook
Row 1: ch7 and turn, sc x 6. (6)
Row 2-4: ch1 and turn, sc x 6. (6) Tie off. Sew bottom closed to make a tube. Position the eyebrows to make them curve and sew into place.
Snout- With Yellow and an H hook
Round 1: MC, ch1 and place 8sc in the MC. (8)
Round 2: 2sc around. (16)
Round 3: (2sc, sc) around. (24)
Round 4: (2sc, sc x 2) around. (32)
Round 5: (2sc, sc x 3) around. (40) Tie off. Sew over Middle Face Piece.
Nose- With Black and an H hook
Row 1: ch7 and turn, sc x 6. (6)
Row 2: ch1 and turn, scdec, sc x 2, scdec. (4)
Row 3: ch1 and turn, scdec x 2. (2)
Row 4: ch1 and turn, scdec. (1) Continue to sc down left side, across bottom, and up the right side placing 2sc in each corner. Tie off. Sew to top of Snout. With a little bit of black, sew on the mouth.
