Crochet Toddler Minion Tutu Dress

This fun little dress is sure to be the hit at any little girl's party! The pattern is for a toddler size, but it can easily be adjusted according to the measurements of the child. Hope you enjoy! :)

Crochet Toddler Minion Tutu Dress

What you’ll need:

         *Size H hook

         *I love this yarn in yellow and blue (or any WW)

         *Crochet needle for sewing in ends

         *1.5 spools of blue tulle

With H hook, 8sc and 9 rows= 2”x 2”

Abbreviations:

         *ch- chain

         *dc- double crochet

         *tr- triple crochet

         *BB- back bump

For the Bodice

With an H hook and yellow yarn, ch 67 (approx. 17”) and turn.

Row 1: sc in BB of 2^nd ch from hook and each ch across.

Row 2-16: ch1 and turn, sc across.

Row 17-36: *With Yellow ch1 and turn, sc in next 34 stitches, Switch to blue and sc in next 32 stitches* repeat from * to * for 18 more rows or till bodice reaches 8”. Tie off and leave a long tail of yellow to sew up the back. You can also add buttons to the back if you wish to make it adjustable.

For the Straps

With an H hook and yellow yarn, Chain 61 and turn. Dc in BB of each stitch across. Sew on to bodice according to the pictures. (ch more or less if needed) 

For the Tulle Skirt

Step 1: Cut tulle to 22”.

Step 2: Take 2 pieces of cut tulle and fold in half.

Step 3: Attach the tulle to the bottom of the bodice placing two pieces in each spot for a nice, full skirt. (Here’s a great tutorial for attaching tulle.)

For the Eyes

With an H hook and black yarn make 2

Round 1: Mc, ch 1 and place 8sc in the mc, slst to join.

Round 2: Switch to white ch1, 2dc in same stitch and each stitch around, slst to join.

Round 3: ch1, 2sc in same stitch, sc in next stitch (2sc, sc in next) repeat around, and slst to join.

Round 4: Switch to grey yarn ch1, 2sc in same stitch, sc in next 2 stitches, (2sc, sc in next 2) repeat around, and slst to join. Tie off and leave a long tail for sewing on to bodice.

For the Mouth

With black yarn and an H hook, ch 12 and sew on to bodice according to the pictures.

For the Eyebrows

Sew on according to pictures

For the Mini Bow

With pink yarn and an H hook:

Step 1: Make a Magic Circle and chain 2

Step 2: 4tr, ch 2, slst, ch 2, 4tr, ch 2 slst all in the center of ring.

Step 3: Pull tight and leave a long tail.

Step 4: Wrap tail around center of mini bow.

Step 5: Insert needle into center of the bow and pull tail through to keep it in place.

Step: Sew onto project! :)
