I had so much fun making this little Crochet Cupcake Hat from Repeat Crafter Me’s Pattern. I did do several modifications though and added more sizes. I decided to use my hat pattern for the top of the hat and changed the bottom to make it easier... for me as least. :) I've also added this adorable apron pattern!
UPDATE: This Big Head Doll pattern is no longer available. Please check out my Maddy Doll or Emily Doll patterns to use with this hat and apron pattern. :)

Note:
I’ve omitted the chains at the begging of the rounds to get rid of the seam.
I’ve added the chainless starting double crochet instead. The CSDC of each
round will act like your chain and will be hidden in your work and not
crocheted into. Make sure you place your last dc in the same stitch you placed
your CSDC, and slst to the 1st dc of the round. You’ll be skipping over
the CSDC when you slst to join. (See pics below)
Hat Size 0-3 (with white, pink, and an H hook)
*3-6: add 1 more row of white
*6-9: add 2 more rows of white
Starting with White
Round 1: MC, ch1 and place 10sc in the ring, slst to join. (10)
Round 2: CSDC, dc in same stitch, 2dc in each stitch around ending with a dc in the same stitch as you did your CSDC, slst to 1st dc to join. (skip CSDC when you join) (20)
Round 3: CSDC, dc in same stitch, (*dc in next stitch, 2dc in next stitch) repeat * around ending with a dc in the same stitch as you did your CSDC, slst to 1st dc to join. (30)
Round 4: CSDC, dc in same stitch, (*dc in next 2 stitches, 2dc in next stitch) repeat * around ending with a dc in the same stitch as you did your CSDC, slst to 1st dc to join. (40)
Round 5: CSDC, dc in same stitch, (*dc in next 3 stitches, 2dc in next stitch) repeat * around ending with a dc in the same stitch as you did your CSDC, slst to 1st dc to join. (50)
Round 6-8: CSDC, dc in next stitch and each stitch around ending with a dc in the same stitch you did your CSDC, slst to 1st dc to join. (50) Continue on to shell edge.
Round 9: At this point I followed the directions for Round 10 of RCM’s hat to make the shell edging, but I didn’t tie off.*I had a hard time crocheting into the top of the previous round, and my pink yarn kept showing. So, I decided to ch2 and bpsc around the dcs in round 8 with white yarn. Then I tied off, attached pink to the first bpsc, and did a dc in each bpsc around.
Switch to Pink
Round 10: I followed Rounds 12-14 of RCM’s pattern.
Earflaps in Pink
I did 8 sc instead of 10, so it would be the same as following Row 3-9 of RCM’s pattern. Then I ch18 for the tails of the earflaps for 0-3 size, and added braids like RCM's pattern for the bigger sizes.

Cherry in Red
I used a G hook and followed her instructions with an added round of scdec to close it off better. I also lightly stuffed the cherry.
Hat size 9-12 (whith white, pink, and an H hook)

and sc around both earflaps and the front and back of the hat, tie off and
weave in ends.

the pieces out into two sections, fold one section over and attach to earflap.
Braid and tie a knot at the bottom. Repeat for other side.

Thank you, Brooke for all the hard work that you put into creating this pattern. I really appreciate it. I hope to be able to write my own patterns one day. Sure hope that I can create as well as you.
