Newborn Wonder Woman Set

I've decided to share my Newborn Wonder Woman Set as a FREE pattern for you all! This required a little extra sewing, but totally worth it in the end! The hat is super easy to adjust by continuing to increase till desired circumference and continuing to lengthen till desired length. Hope you enjoy!

Newborn Wonder Women Set

What you’ll need:

*Size H hook

*I Love this Yarn in Royalty, Red, Yellow, White, and Black

*Tapestry needle for sewing in ends

*Scissors

       

Gauge: With an H hook 6dc and 4 rows= 2”x 2”

Abbreviations:

*ch- chain

*slst- slip stitch

*sc- single crochet

*scdec- single crochet decrease

*MC- magic circle

*hdc- half double crochet

*hdcdec- half double crochet decrease

*dc- double crochet

*htr- half treble crochet

Cape- With Royalty, Yellow, Red, White, and an H hook

Starting with Royalty

Row 1: Ch 31, dc in the BB of 2^nd ch from hook and each stitch across. (30)

Row 2-7 ch1 and turn, dc across. (30) Tie off.

Switch to Yellow

Row 8-10: ch1 and turn, dc across. (30) Tie off.

Switch to Red

Row 11-26: ch1 and turn, dc across. (30) Tie off.

Switch to Royalty

Row 27-29: ch1 and turn, dc across. (30) ch30 for the first tie. Tie off. Ch30 for the second tie and sew on to other side.

Belt Loops (make 2 of each)- With Red and Blue and an H hook

Row 1: ch7, tie off and leave a tail for sewing. Sew 7 stitches away from either side.

Cape Stars (make 3)- With White and an H hook

Round 1: MC, ch1 and place 10sc in the MC. Slst to join. (10)

Round 2: (*ch4, slst in 2^nd ch, sc in next, hdc in last ch, skip next stitch, slst in next stitch) repeat from * around. Tie off and leave a tail for sewing. (5 star points) Sew on to bottom of cape.

Top “W”- With yellow and an H hook

Short Lines (make 2): ch6, sc in 2^nd ch from hook and each ch across. (5)

Long Lines (make 4): ch9, sc in 2^nd ch from hook and each ch across. (8)

Short Middle Pieces (make 2)- With Yellow and an H hook

Row 1: ch5, sc in 2^nd ch from hook and each ch across. (4)

Bottom “W”- With Yellow and an H hook

Short Lines (make 2): ch5, sc in 2^nd ch from hook and each ch across. (4)

Long Lines (make 4): ch11, sc in 2^nd ch from hook and each ch across. (10)

Hat- With Black and an H hook

Round 1: MC, ch1 and place 10sc in the MC. Slst to join. (10)

Round 2: ch1, 2dc around. Slst to join. (20)

Round 3: ch1, (*2dc, dc) repeat from * around. Slst to join. (30)

Round 4: ch1, (*2dc, dc next 2) repeat from * around. Slst to join. (40)

Round 5: ch1, (*2dc, dc next 3) repeat from * around. Slst to join. (50)

Round 6-10: ch1, dc around. Slst to join. (50) Tie off and weave in ends.

Crown- With Yellow and an H hook

Row 1: ch31, dc in BB of 2^nd ch from hook and each BB across. (30)

Row 2-3: ch1 and turn, dc across. (30)

Row 4: ch1 and turn, slst in first 5 stitches, dc in next 20 stitches. (Leave last 5 stitches unworked) (20)

Row 5: ch1 and turn, hdcdec, hdc next 16 stitches, hdcdec. (18)

Row 6: ch1 and turn, hdcdec, hdc next 14 stitches, hdcdec. (16)

Row 7: ch1 and turn, hdcdec 2 times, hdc next 8 stitches, hdcdec 2 times. (12)  

Row 8: ch1 and turn, scdec 2 times, sc next 4 stitches, scdec 2 times. (8)

Row 9: ch1 and turn, scdec 4 times. (4)

Row 10: ch1 and turn, scdec 2 times. (2)

Row 11: ch1 and turn, scdec. (1) tie off and leave a tail for sewing. Sew around hat after sewing on the star.

Star- With Red and an H hook

Round 1: MC, ch1 and place 10sc in the MC. Slst to join. (10)

Round 2: ch1, 2sc around. (20)

Round 3: (*ch5, sc in 2^nd ch, hdc in next, dc in next, htr in last, skip next 3 stitches, slst in next stitch) repeat from * around. Tie off and leave a tail for sewing. (5 star points)

Hair- With black

Cute 30 pieces of yarn at 3ft in length. Attach 15 of your pieces to the left side of your hat and braid. Skip 20 stitches across the front and attach the rest of the yarn pieces to the other side.  

Bows (make 2)- With Royalty and an H hook

Round 1: Place all of the stitches in the MC. MC, (*ch4, 4dc, ch4, slst) repeat from * 1 time. Tie off and leave an extra long tail. Wrap your tail around the center of the bowl to cinch it. Sew bows on to bottom of braids.
