Free Crochet Pattern Princess Teething Ring

This pattern is for my Princess Teething Ring! With cotton yarn it is approx. 4.5” from top of bun to bottom of ring. The pattern includes instructions and helpful pics for making the princess head as shown and how to attach it to the ring.

Princess Teething Ring

Approx. 4.5”

Materials Needed:

*I Love This Cotton yarn (4-medium) in Ivory, Brown, Curry, Pink, and Black

*Size E hook (3.5mm)

*Tapestry needle for sewing in ends

*Scissors

*Stitch Marker

*Stuffing

*1.5” Wooden Teething Ring 

Gauge: With an E hook 9sc and 8 rows= 2.2”

Abbreviations:

Ch: chain

Slst: slip stitch

Sc: single crochet

Scdec: single crochet decrease

MC: magic circle

( ): repeat same stitches

[ ]: place all of your stitches in the same stitch

BB: back bump

mp: mini picot (ch2 and turn, slst in 2^nd ch from hook)

Head- With Ivory and an E hook

Round 1: MC, ch1 and place 6sc in the MC. (6)

Round 2: 2sc around. (12)

Round 3: (2sc, sc) around. (18)

Round 4: (2sc, sc next 2) around. (24)

Round 5-8: sc around. (24)

Round 9: (scdec, sc next 2) around. (18)

Round 10: (scdec, sc) around. (12) Stuff.

Round 11: scdec around. (6) Tie off and weave in ends. (This is the bottom) Sew on eyes with Black between rounds 4&5. (When counting from the top) Sew on a mouth with Pink.

Wig- With Brown and an E hook

Round 1: MC, ch1 and place 6sc in the MC. (6)

Round 2: 2sc around. (12)

Round 3: (2sc, sc) around. (18)

Round 4: (2sc, sc next 2) around. (24)

Round 5-8: sc around. (24) Tie off and leave a tail for sewing. Sew on to head.

Bun- With Brown and an E hook

Round 1: MC, ch1 and place 6sc in the MC. (6)

Round 2: 2sc around. (12)

Round 3: (2sc, sc) around. (18)

Round 4-5: sc around. (18)

Round 6: (scdec, sc) around. (12) Stuff.

Round 7: scdec around. (6) Tie off and leave a tail for sewing. Sew between rounds 2-6 of Wig.

Curls (make 3)- With Brown and an E hook

Row 1: ch15, place 3sc in the BB of 2^nd ch from hook and each BB across. Tie off and leave a tail for sewing. Sew the tops together and sew on to bottom of Bun.

Crown- With Curry and an E hook

Row 1: ch10, sc in the BB of 2^nd ch from hook and each BB across. (9)

Row 2: ch1 and turn, (slst in first, [sc, hdc, mp, hdc, sc] in next, slst in next,) across. (3 crown points) Tie off and leave a tail for sewing. Sew in front of Bun.

Ring Wrap- With Pink and an E hook

Row 1: ch7 and turn, sc in the BB of 2^nd ch from hook and each BB across. (6)

Row 2-5: ch1 and turn, sc across. (6) Tie off and leave a tail for sewing. Wrap your piece around the wooden ring and sew the sides together. Sew Princess head to Ring Wrap.
