Free Lamb Hat Pattern

I decided to make our little one a lamb for her first Halloween! I found this amazing squishy yarn at Michael's, and just couldn't resist. It is a little hard to see the stitches when starting out, but if you keep count, you'll be fine. 😊

What you’ll need:
* Size H (5.5mm) hook
* Bernat Pipsqueak in White and Pink
* Big Tapestry needle for sewing in ends. 

Abbreviations:
*ch- chain
*sc- single crochet
*slst- slip stitch
*hdcdec- half double crochet itdecrease
*hdc- half double crochet
*dc- double crochet

6-9 Lamb Hat- With White and an H hook
Round 1: MC, ch1 and place 10sc in the MC. Slst to join. (10)
Round 2: ch1, 2dc around. Slst to join. (20)
Round 3: ch1, (*2dc, dc). Slst to join. (30)
Round 4: ch1, (*2dc, dc x 2). Slst to join. (40)
Round 5: ch1, (*2dc, dc x 3). Slst to join. (50)
Round 6: ch1, (*2dc, dc x 4). Slst to join. (60)
Round 7-13: dc around. Slst to join. (60) Continue on to ear flaps.

Ear Flaps 
Row 1: ch 1, hdc in same stitch and next 9 stitches. (10)
Row 2: ch1 and turn, hdcdec, dc x 6, hdcdec. (8)
Row 3: ch1 and turn, hdcdec, dc x 4, hdcdec. (6)
Row 4: ch1 and turn, hdc across. (6)
Row 5: ch1 and turn, hdcdec, dc x 2, hdcdec. (4)
Row 6: ch1 and turn, hdcdec, hdcdec. Tie off and weave in ends. (2) 

*Turn hat facing forward and attach yarn on the other side. (Make sure you're looking at your hat upside down when you attach so your stitches will be facing the right way) Repeat Rows 1-6 of Ear Flap I. 

Braids
Cut 6 pieces of yarn at approx 2ft. Fold the yarn over, and attach 3 pieces to each ear flap. Braid. Trim the ends.

I used Repeat crafter Me's Lamb Ears pattern.
