Free Crochet Charmander Pattern


This pattern was designed for my nephew for his birthday! Our oldest, Tyler, helped with the whole design, and gave his approval of the end result. It works up super quick, which makes it awesome for gifting! Hope you enjoy!

Materials Needed:   

*I Love This Cotton yarn in Yellow (Curry), Orange (Glowing), Black, White, and Green (Sage) (for the eyes)  

*Size E hook (3.5mm)   

*Tapestry needle for sewing in ends   

*Scissors   

*Stitch Marker   

*Stuffing    

 

Gauge: With an E hook 9sc and 8 rows= 2.2”

Starting with Yellow

Switch to Orange   

Round 4: sc x 7, (Attach White: bobble with 4sc, ch1, Orange: sc) repeat x 3. Orange: sc x 6. (22 including chains) Tie off White and continue with Orange.

Cut 6 pieces of yellow and 6 pieces of orange yarn at 2”. Attach to tail. Separate each piece of yarn with a tapestry needle.     

 


Pupils (make 2)- With White and an E hook  

Round 1: MC, ch1 sc x 5. (5) Tie off and sew to eyes.  

  

Eyes (make 2)- With Black, Green and an E hook   

Starting with Black  

Round 1: MC, ch1 and place 6sc in the MC. (6)  

Round 2: 2sc around. (12) 

Round 3: (2hdc, hdc) x 2. (6) 

Switch to Green 

Round 4: ch1 and turn, sc x 6. (6)  

Round 5: ch1 and turn, slst x 6. (6)  

Switch to Black 

Sc up the side, around top, and back down the other side. Tie off and sew to either side of head.  


Mouth and Nostrils- With black and a tapestry needle Sew on mouth and nostrils according to pics.
