Free Crochet Pattern Football Teething Ring

This pattern is for my Football Teething Ring! With cotton yarn it is approx. 3” from top of football to bottom of ring. The pattern includes instructions and helpful pics for making the football body and how to attach it to the ring.

Football Teething Ring

Approx. 3”

Materials Needed:

*I Love This Cotton yarn (4-medium) in Brown and White

*Size E hook (3.5mm)

*Tapestry needle for sewing in ends

*Scissors

*Stitch Marker

*Stuffing

*1.5” Wooden Teething Ring 

Gauge: With an E hook 9sc and 8 rows= 2.2”

Ch: chain

Slst: slip stitch

Sc: single crochet

Scdec: single crochet decrease

MC: magic circle

( ): repeat same stitches

BB: back bump

Football- With Brown, White, and an E hook

Starting with Brown

Round 1: MC, ch1 and place 6sc in the MC. (6)

Round 2: sc around. (6)

Round 3: (2sc, sc) around. (9)

Round 4: sc around. (9)

Switch to White (carry yarn up)

Round 5: (2sc, sc x 2) around. (12) Tie off White.

Switch to Brown

Round 6: (2sc, sc x 3) around. (15)

Round 7: (2sc, sc x 4) around. (18)

Round 8: (2sc, sc x 5) around. (21)

Round 9-10: sc around. (21)

Round 11: (scdec, sc x 5) around. (18)

Round 12: (scdec, sc x 4) around. (15)

Round 13: (scdec, sc x 3) around. (12)

Switch to White (carry yarn up) Stuff.

Round 14: sc around. (12) Tie off White.

Switch to Brown

Round 15: (scdec, sc x 2) around. (9)

Round 16: sc around. (9)

Round 17: (scdec, sc) around. (6) Tie off and weave in ends. Sew on laces with White and a tapestry needle.

Ring Wrap- With Brown and an E hook

Row 1: ch7 and turn, sc in the BB of 2^nd ch from hook and each BB across. (6)

Row 2-5: ch1 and turn, sc across. (6) Tie off and leave a tail for sewing. Wrap your piece around the wooden ring and sew the sides together. Sew Football to Ring Wrap.
